A Powerball player in California just became a billionaire overnight by winning the third-largest Powerball prize of $1.08 billion.

The lucky numbers that won the jackpot were 7, 10, 11, 13, 24, and the red Powerball 24. The golden ticket was sold at Las Palmitas Mini Market in downtown Los Angeles.

The newest billionaire has the option to choose between the full $1.08 billion spread out over time or a lump sum payment estimated at $558.1 million.

Along with the grand prize, three other lucky players matched each of the white balls and the Power Play, winning $2 million each. An additional 36 people won a $1 million prize.

This massive win comes after 39 consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner. The last jackpot win was on April 19, when an Ohio ticket holder won $252.6 million.

Despite the joyous news for the winner, the odds of winning the Powerball Grand Prize are incredibly slim, standing at 1 in 292,201,338.

Marvin and Mae Acosta, a couple from Chino Hills, California, also joined the billionaire club in 2016 when they split a $1.6 billion jackpot with winners from Florida and Tennessee.
